your WTT top 3 things about Steven Soderbergh’s Contagion: 1. the national guardsman who denies sparsely-bearded Matt Damon access to ‘Sconsin has a perfectly nasal cheesehead accent. great detail by Mr. Soderbergh there. 2. after her highly enjoyable death, there’s a closeup of Gwyneth Paltrow’s head being autopsied. after peeling that blonde scalp back over her face, the doctor is shocked by what he sees in her brain. GOOP’s best scene in years. 3. when she’s kidnapped by a nefarious chinaman, WHO hot doc Marion Cotillard is wearing an absolutely fabulous pantsuit, which she’s sadly unable to have dry-cleaned in the rural Guangdong Province where she’s held captive. (despite these high water marks, the movie was really just all right though.)
